Megan Thee Stallion Giveaway $1 Million in Bitcoin

Megan’s Bitcoin giveaway comes as the cryptocurrency just hits its all-time high of $23,000, a new record. Meanwhile, the U.S. dollar is still not at its best amid the economic turmoil in the country.

Megan is one of the biggest rappers in the music industry, having earned four Grammy nominations last month. She teamed up with Cardi B for WAP, one of the most dominant No. 1 song of the past 30 years, according to Billboard charts.

The rapper had received quite an accolade this year being named Time Magazine’s Most Influential People, GQ’s Rapper of the Year, two BET Awards, Apple’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year, including four Grammy nominations.

Shortly after Megan announced the Bitcoin giveaway, Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey himself retweeted Thee Stallion.

Dorsey is also the founder of mobile payment company Square, a part of CashApp.

Driving Adoption of Bitcoin and CashApp

Megan is not only giving out free Bitcoin, she even highlighted a new feature with CashApp called $cashtag that allows anyone to instantly send Bitcoin.

Usually, during Bitcoin transfers, the long wallet addresses take a lengthy process. However, with CashApp all one needs is a $cashtag to receive Bitcoin from Megan herself.

The latest giveaway comes with an intention to drive the adoption of Bitcoin and CashApp especially for those who are not into cryptos. For instance, many of Megan’s fans downloaded CashApp solely to participate in the giveaway. Others after winning a portion from the giveaway even stated that they would research the cryptocurrency further.
