Under the partnership deal, Ronaldinho will collaborate with New World co-founder Diogo Snow who has previous experiences of producing NFT-related art for celebrities which includes Drake and Fetty Wap. He will also work with developers to build a robust product suite and expand New World’s contributing artists and celebrities.
"I understand the influence I have on my supporters and engaging with my fans has always been so important to me, which is why I have decided to become the global ambassador for New World. The global growth of the NFT market has been truly amazing, and this platform allows fans to interact with their favorite athletes, artists and celebrities in a way that has never been done before,” Ronaldinho said.
Furthermore, the CEO of Graph Blockchain, Paul Haber believes that the collaboration would be highly beneficial thanks to the soccer player’s reach and exposure:
“We are thrilled to welcome Ronaldinho as our Global Ambassador. The exceptional reach and exposure that Ronaldinho provides will take New World to the next level.”
As part of the agreement deal, Graph Blockchain has also agreed to issue 4,000,000 common shares subject to regulatory approval, including from the CSE.
Major footballers are using their influence to capitalize on the burgeoning NFT market. Just last month, another Brazilian soccer player, Neymar bought a Bored Ape for a whopping 159.99 ETH, worth $480,000 at the time of purchase.
Similarly, a Sorare digital trading card of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland sold for $684,000 in an auction, making it one of the most expensive cards in the recent past.
