Chinese artist Huang recently showcased NFT artworks depicting socialist cyberpunk housing at the Taobao Maker Festival in Shanghai, which is sponsored by Alibaba. Taobao Maker Festival is a yearly event that celebrates Chinese art and entrepreneurship and is hosted by Taobao, an e-commerce platform.

Near Protocol Teams Up With Web3Games and Huang Heshan to Showcase Socialist Cyberpunk Housing as NFT

As revealed recently, the non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are going to be showcased for the first time at the annual festival.

The event is going to witness a partnership between Near Protocol and Web3Games and Chinese artist Huang Heshan in order to sell real estate based on NFT.

In addition to this, it should be noted that “Bu Tu Garden” by Heshan will be made available to purchase during the event. As for the beginning of this festival, it was first held in the year 2016.

Heshan recently spoke to Blockcast and addressed the fact how he was astonished by the working of NFTs, and stated:

"I originally thought that the concepts of blockchain and NFT would be very complicated.”

Comparatively Low-Cost on Near Protocol Than Ethereum

Heshan also laid an emphasis on the low cost of minting NFTs on Near than Ethereum and said:

“The cost of casting an NFT on Ethereum is hundreds or thousands of dollars too expensive. NEAR only costs a few cents and is very suitable.”

In addition to this, it should be noted that the virtual real estate powered by Crypto has witnessed a lot of growth over the past year.

A digital land plot within the blockchain game Decentraland was sold for over $900,000 last month.

Along with this, the co-founder of Illuviam, Kieran Warwick also flipped a virtual land plot that he bought last year in Axie Infinity for a gain of over 9,000%.
