The Road to Ethereum 2.0, launch Date still Remains a Mystery

Ethereum 2.0
Ethereum is preparing what should be referred to as;  ecosystem’s biggest milestone, Ethereum 2.0. Development   of the protocol is still underway;  however researchers have warned that their might be a delay in the launching of the platform. The development team had promised a tentative date of 3rd Jan 2020; when they would launch the initial phase of the Ethereum upgrade. Meanwhile, this date is yet for confirmation and the community believes their is likely to be a change.

Ethereum Highlights

Here are two facts you should note about Ethereum in recent days and days to come. Ethereum 2.0 could launch anytime after the 2019 holiday season, but the actual date has not been agreed upon. Additionally, Ethereum prices are still struggling to pull upwards into the crypto after the past seven days’ retracement.

Ethereum Co-founder Vitalik Buterin conducted an Ask me Anything session on Reddit and is where he helped notify people on the progress. Buterin also shed light on the likelihood of postponed launch date. According to Carl Beekhuizen, a researcher - the 3rd of January date had been mentioned in a bi-weekly coordination call among developers. The purpose of which was to inform the Ethereum community that the launch of Ethereum 2.0 could launch anywhere after New year.

“We need: long-running test nets (however that is defined), formal verification of the deposit contract, and clients to be ready for prime time, but right now it looks like everything will come together in time. We also don’t want to rush clients into developing buggy software just to be ready by an arbitrary date,” Beekhuizen said.

Conclusion

Recently, Ethereum has been battling to make a recovery past the $230 resistance area. An attempt to break past this support area on Thursday failed desperately. Currently, the coin is trading at $228. Hence, has corrected from under the $230 point.
