The leader in blockchain for the capital market, tZERO added support for Ravencoin (RVN) via its crypto unit wallet/trading app. The app will now support Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH) and Ravencoin (RVN) for iOS and Android users.

Per the<a href="https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20190820005442/en/tZERO-Crypto-App-Add-Ravencoin-Cryptocurrency"> release</a>, tZERO submitted the updated iOS app which will feature the crypto asset to the Apple store on Aug. 19. Also, the firm will publish the update for the Android app on Aug. 20.

tZERO crypto app allows users to buy, sell, and hold digital currencies directly on their mobile phone. It doesn't require any third party third-party exchanges for custody.

Ravencoin is an open-source project that facilitate instant payments to people around the world. It aims at creating a blockchain, explicitly optimized for the transfer of digital assets, from one holder to another. 

While emphasizing on the reason behind added support for Ravencoin, the CEO at tZERO, Saum Noursalehi said:

“In addition to being one of the fastest-growing cryptocurrencies, Ravencoin is philosophically aligned with tZERO in making it easy to digitize assets and make them freely tradable."

Ravencoin platform helps in building and supporting security tokens, utility tokens, gift cards, or other user-defined assets.

"Ravencoin allows for straightforward issuance and on-chain transfer of any digital asset, including security tokens, making support for RVN a natural fit for tZERO Crypto,” Noursalehi said.

tZERO is a majority-owned blockchain subsidiary of retail giant Overstock Inc. The Blockchain firm focuses on revolutionizing Wall Street to lessen financial processes.

The CEO at Overstock, Patrick Byrne, encouraged<a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/crypto/overstock-ceo-praises-tzero-blockchain-platform-in-q4-earnings-report/"> tZERO for its Q4 report</a>, as the firm delivered about $80 million as profit. Major investors cut investment with the blockchain firm.

Tax losses for tZERO were $12.6 million in Q4; however, the new platform has Byrne unruffled by the figures, saying:

“Our blockchain projects are some of the most significant and cutting edges in the world, and we are just reaching the point where our products are being introduced to the public. In particular, tZERO brought live a security token trading platform,” he added in the shareholder letter.
