<h2><strong>UFC To Issue NFT Trading Cards in Partnership With Panini America</strong></h2>
In a licensing deal, major martial arts organization Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) UFC will sell its first-ever NFTs through Panini America, the official trading card partner of UFC, according to an Aug. 5 <a href="https://www.sportico.com/business/tech/2021/ufc-nfts-panini-1234636308/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">report</a> by Sportico.

Featuring the digital replicas of the popular Panini UFC trading cards, the NFTs will commemorate big fights, milestones, and moments <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/ufc-brokers-has-announced-exclusive-partnership-with-stakecom-leading-crypto-powered-sportsbook/">featuring</a> more than 100 UFC athletes that will be available for purchase on the Panini NFT Blockchain Platform starting next week.

On collaborating with Panini America, UFC Senior Vice President of Global Consumer Products Tracey Bleczinski said:

The UFC NFTs are an extension of our very popular Panini UFC trading cards and an innovative way for fans to stay connected to UFC and their favorite athletes.”</em></blockquote>
At the same time, the CEO of Panini America Mark Warsop, remarks:

<h2><strong>Fairly Compensating Through Trading Non-Fungible Tokens</strong></h2>
UFC is often criticized for its compensation of <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/ufc-champion-francis-ngannou-announced-as-stake-coms-brand-ambassador/">fighters</a> where they get only about 30% of UFC’s cut on licensed apparel and merchandise compared to major U.S. leagues that share about half their revenue with their athletes.

Fighters featured on NFTs will be able to receive a 50% derived from the sale, according to UFC COO Lawrence Epstein:
<blockquote><em>“The reality is that this product is one where you take the UFC brand, you take the fighter’s</em> <em>likeness, you put them together and 1+1=4 or 5. A 50-50 split makes sense. It’s fair, and it reflects what both sides are delivering to the product.”</em></blockquote>
