A member of the Shiba Inu (SHIB) community has recently reported via tweet that the Subway-style restaurant named “40&20Ccs” is now accepting Shiba Inu (SHIB) as a form of payment method.
Besides Shiba Inu (SHIB), ‘ “40&20Ccs”’ is also accepting stable coins such as Tether (USDT) and Binance USD (BUSD).
The business provides both delivery and pickup services and has a strong social presence on Instagram.
Fast food restaurants have been testing the integration of cryptocurrency into their business models for quite some time. Earlier last month, Shiba Inu (SHIB) announced a partnership with Welly’s, a blockchain-based Italian fast food restaurant for a Shiba Inu-themed dining experience for customers in Naples, Italy.
Similarly, in 2019, Burger King's German chain approved bitcoin as a payment method. A year later, the fast-food chain also integrated Dogecoin, Ethereum, and bitcoin into a crypto rewards offer.
The latest among fast-food restaurants to explore crypto comes from Shake Shack which ran a Bitcoin rewards program last week for customers paying with Block's Cash App.
