VitalHub, a Canada based blockchain company has raised its hand towards helping coronavirus screening. On April 8, the company announced that it will be deploying its first coronavirus screening tool which is based on blockchain. It has been a great initiative to contribute their bit towards fighting coronavirus. The company will be giving this screening tool to Sunnyside Home.

The development of this screening app named DOCit was requested by the Sunnyside home only. This app will help to screen all the residents and will make sure if anybody has any kind of symptoms of COVID-19.

Screening tools are helping a lot in detecting coronavirus cases in different parts of the world. Julie Wheeler, an administrator of a long-term care home has also shown how useful this electronic screening is to detect the virus.

She has also praised the commitment of VitalHub as she explained how quick the company has come with an ultimate solution. According to her, the company has developed the screening tool in just 24 hours.

The DOCit app will help to detect majorly all the visible symptoms of the virus from the human body while screening. This information is shared in real-time which ultimately reduces the risk of the spread of the virus. According to Dan Matlow, CEO of VitalHub, the major purpose of DOCit is to deeply analyse the patients by screening and detecting the virus.

Blockchain technology helps to fight COVID-19

During this epidemic, it could be seen that blockchain technology is helping a lot in fighting the virus. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has also shown great confidence in blockchain technology. Later in March, it was reported that WHO has teamed up with different blockchain companies to deal with the situation. Both WHO and blockchain companies have jointly launched a program which will help to detect the virus at its early stage.
