Warner Music Group Partners With NFT Platform OneOf

Warner Music NFT
NFT platform OneOf signed a partnership with Warner Music Group this week that will elevate their status even further (WMG). Let's have a look at the announcement from today as well as the current situation of music and audio NFTs.

Last month, OneOf sold an unreleased Whitney Houston album for $1 million, making it the most expensive NFT ever sold on the Tezos network. Quincy Jones, the famed record producer, is behind the platform, which was first unveiled in May of last year. OneOf has formed partnerships with the Grammy Awards and iHeartRadio.

Furthermore, the platform has established itself as a ‘green’ Web3 pioneer among a sea of audio and music-based platforms in the NFT and blockchain area. Audius, Royal, and a few more big names have dominated the market so far. Last year, Audius created waves by partnering with TikTok, a powerful social network, and this year, Royal has made waves by releasing royalty-earning NFTs for hip-hop legend Nas.

According to Variety, WMG EVP Oana Ruxandra stated that the collaboration with OneOf 'gives our artists an edge in more authentically building one-to-one relationships with their fans and winning in the new Web3 economy.'
