Web3 Game Launches In-Game Currency in MixMob: Racer 1's Latest Alpha Release

MixMob
Despite a bear market in crypto and decentralized finance (DeFi) and record lows in nonfungible tokens (NFTs), blockchain gaming has grown. It's not surprising that some industry commentators predict the gaming industry will be the first to adopt the metaverse. Also, as the blockchain improves, games can do more creative things, making them even more appealing to gamers.

DappRadar revealed in its 2022 industry report that gaming is presently the most popular category for blockchain-based applications. Compared to 2021, web3 games had a spectacular 94.17% spike in transaction volume in 2022. No other industry has seen such a sharp increase.

MixMob: Racer 1 Alpha V3 Enables Easier Access to Web3 Space

The potential offered by Web3 facilitates both the empowerment of consumers and the support for developers and creators. More than three billion people play mobile games worldwide, and MixMob is taking advantage of this huge, untapped market in Web3.

To coincide with the release of MixMob Racer 1 Alpha V3, the company announced on January 24 the launch of its "Got SUD$" campaign, which introduces the game's virtual currency. Players with enough SUD$ can buy entry into Arenas, where they can compete in Rookie, Hero, or Degen modes to win even more SUD$.

MixMob Racer 1, powered by Solana, is now playable on mobile devices. According to the latest release, non-racers can benefit from the game's expanded and improved viewing and wagering features. Furthermore, SUD$ can be traded for future incentives like digital collectibles, season game passes, and more. The developer predicts a significant spike in user interest due to this development.

MixMob Racer 1's newest update adds many features that make the game fun and interactive. Some of the significant features players have to look forward to are exciting. Since the primary objective of SUD$ in this release is to enhance the game, they can only be won or acquired in packs via MixMob's MixLab. SUD$ are earned through playing the game, inviting new players, or owning one of MixMob's Gen0 Masks. Players who have competed in previous MixMob tournaments, staked Masks, or won MixMob MVP status have received SUD$ that may be used directly in the game.

The first version of Mobile will be compatible with Android mobile devices. Adding cryptocurrency transactions on the mobile web will boost the game's future earnings potential while improving the user experience. Saga, the native software coming to the Solana mobile device later this year, will benefit from such a version of the mobile experience.

According to the release, MixMob has integrated wagering and streaming features, turning audience engagement into its unique sport. Wagering allows racers to earn tokens if they win and increases competition and entertainment. SUD$, which may be used to buy digital items, is the currency used for wagering by spectators.

Ushering in a new era of Web3 gaming

In 2022, the NFT market experienced explosive growth, garnering widespread attention from the media. Meanwhile, the gaming industry was responsible for over half of all blockchain activity by year's end.

As these two industries combine to create the next wave of Web3 projects, more people will enter the crypto realm. Despite the bleak economic outlook, emerging Web3 projects that offer value to mainstream consumers and crypto enthusiasts may herald the end of crypto winter.
