Zilliqa Launches the World’s First Metaverse-as-a-Service Platform

Zilliqa has become the first layer-1 protocol to launch the world’s first Metaverse-as-a-Service platform Metapolis. The platform was unveiled at the much-anticipated VIP event to over 500 entrepreneurs, influencers, CEOs, celebrities, artists and world-class institutional investors on April 2nd in Miami, Florida at the Frost Museum of Science.

World’s First Metaverse-as-a-Service Platform

Zilliqa’s Miami event unveiled the founding team behind Metapolis, its vision, and a sneak peek into partner cities built and pending launch.

Being the world’s first Metaverse-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform, Metapolis aims to provide the required technology and infrastructure to enable users to create and maintain their own metaverses. The service providers essentially remove the high-cost entry barrier, opening doors for smaller players.

Zilliqa’s metaverse will feature both virtual realities (VR) and augmented reality (AR), in a blend known as extended reality (XR). The platform will also utilize technologies such as non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Following the news of Metapolis’s immediate launch, Zilliqa’s native ZIL token surged over 80% during the past 24 hours. Since then, the token has retracted back to $0.137943 and is currently down by 10.2% in the past 24 hours.
