DeFi Charity Project MUNCH Launches New Philanthropic Effort

MUNCH Charity Circle
Leading DeFi charity platform MUNCH has announced a new charity initiative called Charity Circle to encourage DeFi projects to donate to charitable causes using Ethereum blockchain to Munch’s smart contract.

MUNCH Launches New Philanthropic Effort

MUNCH, a DeFi-based charity token, is launching a new initiative dubbed ‘Charity Circle’ to encourage DeFi projects to contribute to global charity causes. Using the Ethereum blockchain to Munch’s smart contract, all charity proceeds are tracked on the MUNCH blockchain and confirmed by the charity partners.

The platform has already donated more than $3 million to various community-chosen charitable causes as revealed in the announcement release:

"We have raised over $3M, automatically donated from trustless transactions, and directly sent to charitable causes. We saved numerous lives with GiveWell, funded research for children with rare gene mutations for The Yellow Brick Road Project, and have started 15 new water projects with our partner charity: water."

Commenting on the announcement, Munch COO, Mike Si said:

“We’re starting a new movement that encourages established and emerging players in the crypto space to give back and help others in a very simple way; it can be one-off donations, or a % automated from project fees and operations. Funds will be processed in a trustless manner through our on-chain contracts to support great causes, making MUNCH a hub for all crypto giving.”

Introducing New Fiat to Crypto Service

Besides the charity initiative, MUNCH is also introducing its own Fiat to Crypto service to enable the direct purchase of any given ERC20 or BEP20 token using a credit or debit card, directly from the MUNCH website. This will enable users to buy the MUNCH token directly from the site while encouraging donations in Fiat via their upcoming charity platform.

Meanwhile, the platform will charge transaction fees for using the blockchain and will charge a small additional transaction fee that will go back towards marketing and developing MUNCH.
