Elon Musk Says Tesla Merchandise Buyable Using Dogecoin, Crypto Surges
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Inc, stated in a tweet on Friday that the digital currency dogecoin can be used to purchase Tesla items.
According to the Tesla website, the coin could be used to purchase items such as the 'Cyberwhistle' and 'Cyberquad for Kids.'
Tesla would accept dogecoin as payment for items on a trial basis, Musk tweeted in December.
Following Musk's remark, Dogecoin jumped nearly 20% to $0.202.
